The Science of Running – How Athletes Achieve World Records

Over the past century, เริ่มต้นเดิมพันกับ UFA7777 วันนี้ athletes have become remarkably faster and stronger. They’ve shattered athletic records in track and field, swimming, cycling, and more. But how do they get so good? And have we reached the limits of human ability?

This hour, we explore the science behind seemingly unstoppable athletic achievements.

How Athletes Achieve World Records

Researchers are continually scouring the body for ways to help athletes go faster and farther. They try to find an optimum combination of training, diet, and cross-training to make athletes better. But the elusive secret to the best performance might be more psychological than physical. A study by a team of psychologists at Chapman University found that athletes who have exceptional mental skills can push themselves harder than others.

Running is a great cardiovascular workout, and it helps improve your heart health. But it can also take a toll on your body. Almost 79% of runners are injured each year. Luckily, there are things you can do to prevent injuries. First and foremost, listen to your body. If it feels tired, stop.

Runners are curious, passionate people, Dr. Roche says, and they like to challenge themselves by setting goals. But he warns that, for some, the joy of running can be overshadowed by the pain. That’s because it’s important to recognize that not everyone is built for running.

Athletes who can run fast require a combination of innate talent, training, and an exceptional tolerance for pain. But they can also use technology to get ahead, such as Nike’s Breaking2 marathon last year, which used smart shoes and optimized drafting techniques to enable runners to go faster without changing their intrinsic capabilities.
